The Tenor Matias Haber-Dia started his studies at the Uruguayan Opera School.

Then he moved to Buenos Aires where he had his first contact with tango argentino.

In 2001 he traveled to Italy where he undertook studies at the “ART Musica-Institute in Rome”.

After having moved to Vienna, he started singing with the extra-choir of the Vienna Staatsoper in 2004.

He has sung with different European choirs in theatres including the Liceo in Barcelona, Teatro Comunale in Bologna, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence, Großes Festspielhaus in Salzburg, Philharmonie in Berlin, Konzerthaus and Musikverein in Vienna with conductors such as Metha, Rattle, Gergiev, Préte, Thielemann, Runnicles, Nagano, Ashkenazy, de Billy, Buschcov, Weigle, Minkowsky, Abbado.

In addition to his current job at the Vienna Staatsoper, he performs in operas and concerts as a soloist tenor in Vienna and other cities.

He performed a soloist part in the Christmas concert by the “Wiener Männergesang-Verein” in the Brahms hall at the Vienna Musikverein.

Recently he sang a Verdi & Puccini´s tenor arias concert with the Pazardjik Orchestra in Bulgary.

Born in Uruguay and living several years in Bsas, he always combined his tenor carrier with Tango, attending to the “Milongas” and taking tango lessons with the best world known “tangueros”.

In the present he is creating new choreographies for the idancecomany, developing “Caras del Tango” episode 3.

He is founder and organizer,together with Andrea Seewald, of the first integrative tango-festival “Tango en Punta” en Punta del Este,Uruguay.
